We decided last minute to go to Vernon for an event and this was the only hotel that had decent enough ratings, can accommodate us, close to our venue offering affordable pricing. We stayed 2 nights and the reception at the desk was friendly. The room decor was a typical dated motel but clean and did not smell of cigarettes. There was a tv but the sound quality was horrible which is not a big deal because we are mainly on our phones anyways. There was a microwave, mini fridge and coffee pot which we used to boil water for instance cup noodles. There wasn't much open after a certain time so luckily we had instant noodles. It was really quiet at night so that was great since I'm quite a light sleeper. The shower pressure was really strong which was surprising. It could've been because we were on the first floor, who knows, but showering was quite pleasant. There was also a nice Starbucks just across the street that made it convenient for an easy morning coffee and breakfast.
Yes, the room was small but it was comfortable and clean. The managers were top notch, kind and thoughtful.
As far as 2 star hotels go, this one is exceptional! It was the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, I normally go over and sanitize everything but didn't have to this time around. The hosts were welcoming and ensured I had everything I needed for my stay. Location was an added bonus, downtown was a short walk away. If I find myself needing a room in Vernon again, this place will be my 1st choice!

The room was spotless, with cozy beds that made for a great night’s sleep. The staff was welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. The location is ideal, with easy access to downtown Vernon and nearby attractions, which made our family outings convenient and enjoyable. The rates were very reasonable, offering great value for a family-friendly accommodation. We felt right at home, and our child enjoyed the stay as much as we did. We would highly recommend the Silver Star Motel to other families and will definitely be back on our next visit to Vernon!
This is a great motel to stay. Room is nothing fancy but super clean, tidy and comfortable. The couple running it could not be nicer and really appreciated that we are staying with them. Totally worth supporting!!

Amazing owners. Hands on and detailed. Its a motel not a 5 star resort but its the nicest motel(non name brand) I've stayed at in a long time maybe ever. If your lucky enough to get a room be sure to stay here. Great value and lots of restaurants close by.
I was injured in a motorcycle accident outside of Vernon. The Hospital had sent me away after a CT with no pain medication, I had 4 transverse spinal fractures. My boyfriend found this hotel as it was the closest and most affordable. I was barely able to get out of the vehicle to the room, and the motel staff were right there to help me. The lady showed nothing but kindness and hospitality the whole time we were there. Anything we needed we would get help. Extra pillows, ice, anything. They even helped discount our room when we were forced to stay another day. I was impressed with the room, it was clean and smelled nice. It was better then my treatment at the hospital. Thank you SILVER STAR. YOU DESERVE A GOLD STAR...
I had an amazing stay at this motel! The service was great and a respectful staff was present. The room I stayed in was also very neatly organized and spacious. It is located near a Boston Pizza which makes it easier to dine out. If anyone is looking for a peaceful stay, I would highly recommend this motel for a great stay!
